GEARSEF Science and Engineering Fair

This summer I had the awesome privilege of attending training at Auburn University to offer a Science and Engineering Fair this year at Coppinville. All of my students are expected to participate and it will count as 20% of their grade. Last year we tried to incorporate what is known as Genius Hour in class; based on Google's idea of allowing their employees to dedicate 20% of their time to a passion project.

Students will devise a testable hypothesis, collect data, write a research paper, include data and analysis, and create a trifold to display what they learned. The top students will then go to Auburn in March, where they will compete with other students from Alabama.
